Cilomilast (SB-207499) is a potent and selective phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) inhibitor that selectively inhibits PDE4 catalytic activity. By suppressing PDE4, it elevates intracellular cyclic AMP (cAMP) levels and inhibits downstream pro-inflammatory signaling pathways. Consequently, cilomilast suppresses inflammatory cytokine release, reduces inflammatory cell activation and recruitment, and demonstrates robust anti-inflammatory responses in preclinical cell and tissue models. - Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
