Cefaclor monohydrate is a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that targets bacterial penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) to inhibit bacterial cell wall synthesis. By binding to and inactivating PBPs, it disrupts peptidoglycan cross-linking during cell wall assembly. This disruption weakens bacterial cell wall structural integrity, triggering autolytic enzyme activation and leading to bactericidal cell lysis across both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
