Meprednisone is a synthetic glucocorticoid and a methylated derivative of prednisone that acts as a potent glucocorticoid receptor agonist. Upon binding to the glucocorticoid receptor, it promotes receptor activation and nuclear translocation, modulating steroid receptor-mediated gene expression. This activation downregulates pro-inflammatory signaling pathways, including NF-kB, leading to suppressed expression of inflammatory mediators and inhibition of inflammatory phenotypes. [1]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
