Biological Activity
AT7867 is a potent ATP-competitive inhibitor of Akt1, Akt2, Akt3, p70S6K, and PKA (IC50 20 nM). By blocking AKT and p70S6K signaling pathways, it suppresses downstream substrate phosphorylation, inhibits tumor cell proliferation, and induces apoptosis. In vivo, administration of AT7867 suppresses target phosphorylation and inhibits tumor growth in PTEN-deficient human glioblastoma xenograft models. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).

Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer longer shelf life compared to stock solutions.
