7rh is a potent kinase inhibitor of discoidin domain receptor 1 (DDR1) that also inhibits discoidin domain receptor 2 (DDR2) with reduced potency. By suppressing DDR1 enzymatic activity and receptor phosphorylation, 7rh downregulates downstream signaling pathways to inhibit cancer cell proliferation, invasion, and adhesion. Additionally, 7rh exhibits marked antitumor effects in nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells, suppressing cell growth and tumorigenicity.[1][2]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
