7ACC2 is a potent monocarboxylate transporter 1 (MCT1) inhibitor that blocks lactate uptake in SiHa human cervix carcinoma cells with an IC50 of 10 nM. By inhibiting lactate influx and transport across cell membranes, 7ACC2 disrupts glycolytic metabolism and intracellular lactate homeostasis. This inhibition impairs tumor cell energy production, restricts extracellular lactate utilization, and attenuates tumor growth and angiogenesis in cancer models.

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
