3-Aminobenzamide is a potent inhibitor of poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP). By suppressing PARP enzymatic activity, 3-aminobenzamide blocks nuclear poly(ADP-ribosylation) and prevents cellular nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide and ATP depletion during oxidative stress. Downstream, this PARP inhibition attenuates caspase-independent apoptosis, protecting cells from oxidative injury and reducing tissue damage in central nervous system and ischemia-reperfusion injury models. - Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
