3-Indolebutyric acid (IBA) is a naturally occurring plant hormone belonging to the auxin family. It promotes cell elongation, cell division, and adventitious root initiation by undergoing peroxisomal beta-oxidation to form bioactive indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) in plant tissues. Downstream auxin signal transduction regulates key physiological processes, including vascular differentiation and apical dominance, thereby supporting plant growth and developmental dynamics. [1][2]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
