2-Deoxy-D-glucose (2-DG) is a competitive hexokinase inhibitor. By blocking glycolysis and depleting cellular ATP, it activates the AMPK pathway while suppressing PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling, and modulates HIF-1α activity, thereby inhibiting tumor cell proliferation and migration, and promoting apoptosis.
