10,12-Tricosadiynoic acid is a selective, high-affinity, and orally active inhibitor of acyl-CoA oxidase-1 (ACOX1). By inhibiting ACOX1, it enhances hepatic mitochondrial fatty acid oxidation through activation of the SIRT1-AMPK pathway and PPARα signaling. Consequently, this compound reduces liver lipid accumulation, reactive oxygen species generation, and insulin resistance, demonstrating therapeutic potential for metabolic disorders including hepatic steatosis and hypertriglyceridemia.
