Biological Activity
1,2-DLPC (1,2-dilauroyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine) is a synthetic phosphatidylcholine that functions as an agonist ligand of liver receptor homolog-1 (LRH-1). Through LRH-1 activation, it regulates hepatic lipid metabolism and maintains glucose homeostasis. Additionally, 1,2-DLPC attenuates palmitate-induced insulin resistance via PPARα-mediated suppression of inflammatory signaling and promotes lipolysis and apoptosis through a TNFα-dependent pathway, serving as a defined phospholipid for liposome preparation.
