Biological Activity

(S,R,S)-AHPC hydrochloride is a high-affinity von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) E3 ubiquitin ligase ligand designed for the recruitment of the VHL protein. Conjugation of this functionalized ligand to target-binding molecules via linkers enables the synthesis of proteolysis targeting chimeras (PROTACs). These bifunctional molecules induce target protein ubiquitination by recruiting the VHL E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, leading to selective protein degradation via the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway in targeted protein degradation research. FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
