Survodutide is a dual agonist targeting the glucagon receptor (GCGR) and glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R). Simultaneous activation of GCGR and GLP-1R signaling pathways coordinates metabolic control by stimulating lipid metabolism and thermogenesis alongside appetite suppression. Consequently, this dual receptor agonism promotes increased energy expenditure and decreased food intake, contributing to robust anti-obesity responses in preclinical models. [1][2]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
