Biological Activity
GLP-1 (7-37) is an endogenous incretin peptide and glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist. It enhances glucose-dependent insulin secretion from pancreatic beta cells by activating intracellular cyclic AMP signaling pathways. Furthermore, GLP-1 (7-37) stimulates insulin gene transcription and biosynthesis to maintain cellular insulin stores. These actions contribute to improved glycemic control and downstream regulation of metabolic homeostasis. [1][2]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
