GLP-1 (7-37) Acetate is an endogenous peptide agonist of the glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R). Derived from proglucagon processing in intestinal L cells, this bioactive peptide stimulates GLP-1R signaling to increase intracellular cyclic AMP production. Activation of downstream cAMP/PKA pathways enhances glucose-dependent insulin secretion, promotes insulin gene expression, and regulates glucose homeostasis in pancreatic islet cells. [1][2]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
