Bromelain CAS Number

Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme extract from pineapple that acts as an inhibitor of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) synthesis and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) expression. By blocking MAPK and NF-kB signaling pathways, it downregulates inflammatory mediators and modulates immune responses. Consequently, bromelain displays potent anti-inflammatory, anti-thrombotic, fibrinolytic, and anti-cancer activities, suppressing tumor cell proliferation and survival. ^[1][2]
