Biological Activity
Brenipatide is a dual glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide receptor (GIPR) agonist. By activating both GLP-1R and GIPR signaling pathways, dual co-agonists regulate metabolic homeostasis, enhance insulin secretion, and modulate central reward pathways involved in psychiatric and addiction disorders. Dual targeting of GLP-1R and GIPR provides enhanced metabolic control and neurobehavioral efficacy compared to single-receptor targeting strategies. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
