Description	Reserpine hydrochloride (Serpivite hydrochloride) is a potent inhibitor of the vesicular monoamine transporter 2 (VMAT2) and depletes monoamines from nerve terminals. It exhibits the potential to produce a pharmacological model of depression in animals.
