Description

Specificity KIF3A Rabbit Recombinant mAb detects endogenous level of total KIF3A.
Background Kinesin superfamily proteins (KIFs) comprise several dozen molecular motor proteins. The KIF3 heterotrimer complex is one of the most abundantly and ubiquitously expressed KIFs in mammalian cells. KIF3A is best known for its role in molecule transport along the axoneme of cilia, and loss of KIF3A causes defects in cilium biogenesis. Also, KIF3A forms a complex with APC and participates in the transport of APC, supporting cell migration and polarization. Additionally, KIF3A constrains the activity of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway by suppressing casein kinase 1 (CK1)-dependent DVL phosphorylation, which is a key step in Wnt signalling.
