Description

Specificity GATA1 Rabbit Recombinant mAb detects endogenous level of GATA1.
Background GATA1, also known as NF-E1, NF-1, Ery-1 and GF-1, is the founding member of the GATA family of transcription factors. GATA1 is expressed in primitive and definitive erythroid cells, megakaryocytes, eosinophils, and mast cells and in the Sertoli cells of the testis. GATA1 is essential for normal erythropoiesis and also in eosinophil development. Outside the hematopoietic system, GATA1 is expressed in the Sertoli cells of the testis at critical stages of spermatogenesis. GATA1 has also been implicated in the reprogramming of hematopoietic precursors and the regulation of G1/S cell cycle progression.
