Background	Myc gene encodes a transcription factor that regulates 15% of gene expression by binding to the Enhancer Box sequence (E-box) and recruiting histone acetyltransferases (HATs). C-Myc is universally activated in a variety of tumor cells and plays an important role in cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis and cell cycle progression.
