Specificity | Aromatase Rabbit Recombinant mAb detects endogenous level of total Aromatase. |
---|---|
Background | Aromatase is the key enzyme for estrogen biosynthesis. It is localized in the endoplasmic reticulum of estrogen-producing cells. Aromatase enzyme complex is comprised of two polypeptides. The first of these is a specific cytochrome P450 (P450), namely aromatase cytochrome P450 (P450arom) (the product of the CYP19 gene). The second is a flavoprotein, NADPH-cytochrome P450 reductase and is ubiquitously distributed in most cells. Cell-specific expression of P450arom determines the presence or absence of aromatase activity. |
