Oleanolic acid is effective in protecting against chemically induced liver injury in laboratory animals. Oleanolic acid are relatively non-toxic, and has been used in cosmetics and health products. [1] Oleanolic acid was found to exhibit weak anti-HIV and weak anti-HCV activities, but more potent synthetic analogs are being investigated as potential drugs. [2] |
